The Meadows is a residential villa community developed by Emaar Properties, forming part of the wider Emirates Living master plan alongside Emirates Hills, The Springs, The Lakes and Jumeirah Islands. Launched in the early 2000s, the community was among Dubai’s first freehold areas, giving foreign nationals full ownership rights from the outset.
The Meadows master plan spans nine sub-communities, each with its own character. Together, these sub-districts house more than 1,800 villas featuring 20 different architectural styles. Luxury villas in The Meadows range from 3 to 7 bedrooms, with individual layouts including studies, storage rooms, guest bedrooms and breakfast nooks depending on the cluster. Two decades of growth have given the community mature, tree-lined streets and fully developed parks, creating a cooler microclimate.
Water features run through the community’s design as much as greenery does, with landscaped lakes and waterways woven between clusters. The Meadows Souk, located just outside Meadows 6, brings together fashion boutiques, speciality stores, a Spinneys supermarket, a Fitness First outlet and several cafés, while The Meadows Village is another retail and dining hub within the community.
The Meadows location keeps residents close to Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), with Dubai Media City reachable in 7 minutes and Dubai Marina in 10 minutes. Al Khail Metro Station on the Red Line is just 5 minutes away, while the Jumeirah Lakes Towers Tram Station is a 6-minute drive, giving residents access to public transport despite the community’s suburban, villa-only character.
